This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is collected, used, disclosed, stored, and protected to meet Forever Gold’s data protection standards and to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA).
The contents of this policy may be updated from time to time. Individuals who provide personal data should revisit this policy at least once a year. This Privacy Policy is available on request. A version of this statement is also available on Forever Gold’s website.
- Collection of Personal Data
The terms “Personal Data” and “Personal Information” include any forms of information we collect that identifies you, or from which you are reasonably identifiable. Personal data is collected either through the stores, enquiries, and membership forms, online, and media, including Forever Gold’s website or when you make any purchase transaction with us.
By interacting with, submitting information to, engaging with, or signing up with us for products and services offered by us, you agree and consent to Forever Gold, as well as their respective representatives and/or agents collecting, using, disclosing, and sharing amongst themselves your Personal Data, and disclosing such Personal Data to Forever Gold’s authorised service providers and relevant third-parties in the manner set forth in this Privacy Policy.
This applies to all data that Forever Gold holds relating to identifiable individuals, even if that information technically falls outside of PDPA. This can include, but is not limited to: names of individuals, postal addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers.
We only collect data necessary for fulfilling our product and/or service requirements. By submitting your data, you are deemed to have given your consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and storage of your personal data. Please let us know if you wish to withdraw or vary your consent. In the event any other use of your personal data is contemplated, we will notify you of the same.
Forever Gold will limit and not collect data of sensitive nature (For e.g., NRIC numbers, health data, financial data etc.), unless they are an employee of Forever Gold.
You have choices regarding our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data. Should you choose not to provide us with your personal data, we may not be able to perform our obligations under or in connection with your engagement with us to fulfil the purposes in Section 2. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, and may choose to withdraw your consent.
We may collect, disclose, or use your personal data pursuant to an exception under the PDPA, or other written law.
- Purposes
Personal Data will be collected, used, and/or processed by Forever Gold for the purpose(s) of:
- Membership registration, verification, and entitlement to membership privileges
- Customer account registration and access on the Forever Gold website
- Personalisation of content on the Forever Gold website
- Product reservations
- Product service and repair
- Customer enquiries and requests
- Customer service purposes
- Notifications on new promotions, showrooms, events, offers, products, and services
- Participation in events, contests and lucky draws
- Disclosure of Information
Your personal data may be disclosed by Forever Gold to third-party service providers or agents (whether in Singapore or wherever such service providers are sited) for one or more of the above purposes. As such, if engaged by Forever Gold, third-party service providers or agents will process the customer’s personal data for Forever Gold, for one or more of the above purposes.
These service providers are subject to confidentiality obligations and will only use the personal information to perform the necessary functions and not for any other purposes.
Forever Gold does not rent or sell your personal information to third-parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
- Access and Correction Requests
Individuals are given rights in relation to their personal data pursuant to the applicable law. Where applicable, reasonable steps are taken by us to verify the accuracy of your personal information received at the point of collection. However, please note that you are primarily responsible and liable for the accuracy and completion of all personal information submitted by you.
We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Where we are data controllers, we will assist to respond to your requests.
All individuals with personal data held by Forever Gold are entitled to:
- Ask what information the company holds about them and why.
- Ask how to gain access to it, but must specify the type of data and time range.
- Be informed on how to keep their information up to date.
- Be informed on how the company is meeting its data protection obligations.
- Correct any mistakes or update their personal data in possession of the company.
You may access, review, correct, and amend your personal data by emailing us. Forever Gold may comply with your request to access, amend, or delete your personal data, to the extent required by law.
- Retention of Information
Your personal data will be retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected or for business or legal purposes, or in accordance with applicable laws.
Deletion of your membership account does not automatically delete all personal data about you. If you choose to request that we delete all personal data together with the deletion of your account and unsubscribe from our mailing list, please contact us at sales@forevergold.com.sg. Our ability to comply with your deletion request is subject to any applicable legal or other requirement to maintain records of your personal data.
Please allow fourteen working days for your request to be processed.
- Confidentiality and Security
Forever Gold has appropriate technical, administrative, and physical procedures in place to prevent the unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, and disposal of your personal information. Internal procedures are also put in place requiring our employees and data processors to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by us.
- Policy on Telephone Numbers Registered with the DNC Registry
Unsolicited telemarketing messages will not be sent to your telephone numbers if they are registered under the Do-Not-Call Registry (“DNC Registry”), unless we have your clear and unambiguous consent to do so. However, we may continue to contact you at the telephone numbers provided to us in the limited circumstances allowed under the DNC Registry even though you have registered your telephone number with the DNC Registry.
